  Cutting and pasting

The slowest way A moderately fast way The fastest way
Use the Edit menu:
  1. Select the cell(s) you wish to cut or copy.
  2. Select Edit on the menu toolbar.
  3. Select Cut or Copy
  4. If you wish to paste:
    Select the cells where you wish you see the results.
  5. Select Edit on the menu toolbar.
  6. Select Paste.
Use toolbar buttons:
  1. Select the cell(s) you wish to cut or copy.
  2. Left-click the appropriate toolbar button:
    wpe1.jpg (826 bytes) for Cut
    wpe2.jpg (864 bytes) for Copy
  3. Select the cells where you wish you see the results.
  4. Left-click the toolbar button:
    wpe3.jpg (913 bytes)   for Paste.
Use speed keys:
  • To cut, press Ctrl + t .
  • To copy, press Ctrl + c .
  • To paste, press Ctrl + v .

Here, "Select" means Left-click.
Left-click means click once with the left-hand mouse button.

These toolbar buttons are grouped together on the Standard toolbar.

To make them easier to remember, these accelerator keys are listed next to the appropriate commands on the Edit menu.

These accelerator key patterns are similar to those used on Apple PCs.
