  Formatting Graphs

The easiest way to format a graph is to right-click on the portion of the graph you wish to change.  You can
  • right-click a chart axis to change scale, format, etc.
  • right-click a title, axis title, or free-standing text to change its font size, etc.
  • right-click a line to change the color used for that data series (including line formats, etc.)
  • right-click a data point to change how the chart illustrates it
  • right-click the chart background to change background colors for the plot area.

Excel also has a charting toolbar for accomplishing most of these tasks.  The best way to learn what this toolbar does is to build a simple sample chart and experiment with it.
