The objective of the Finance Immersion Program (FIP) is to help exceptional MBA students interested in finance careers prepare for internships and permanent employment after graduation. The program focuses on professional development, supplementing the development outcomes achieved in other areas of the student experience. Each year, approximately a dozen students are selected to participate in the FIP.

The program takes a three-pronged approach to student development:
1. Mentoring. Students selected to participate in the FIP have access to a network of practitioner mentors engaged in various areas of Finance practice. In addition, they receive focused mentoring from Finance Division faculty and executives-in-residence.
2. Enrichment and service. FIP participants plan and participate in enrichment events for the campus community. In addition, they arrange for private opportunities that are more appropriate for a small group setting. The program provides administrative, faculty, and monetary support for these events.
3. Required coursework. Students take a minimum of six credit hours of advanced finance electives.
