Undergraduate
MOB 3560 International Business This course provides a broadly-based introduction to the management of international business ventures and the strategies and operations of multinational corporations. One component of the course addresses the forces and trends affecting the international business environment, including the diversity of business conditions across countries and the importance of multinational corporations. The second component of the course delves into the specifics of international business management, including: international business research; modes of entry into foreign markets; international marketing; and the management of strategy, marketing, operations, control, and human resources in multinational corporations.

MBA7340 National Business Systems Part of Module IV, “Managing in a Changing Global Environment,” in the first year of the two-year full-time MBA program at Babson. NBS provides an introduction to the analysis and understanding of international differences in the institutional and policy environment faced by business firms.
Offshore Electives
MOB 7526 Doing Business in BrazilThis course applies and expands on Module 4’s National Business Systems and Managing in the Global Economy courses by examining competition and strategy at three levels of analysis: country, industry and firm. The context consists of a variety of institutions and firms in Brazil, focusing on the country’s main business center, São Paulo, where Brazil’s most important financial market and industrial concentration is located.
MOB 7566 Global Competition in the European Union (with Prof. Jay Rao) This course applies and expands on Module 4’s National Business Systems and Managing in the Global Economy courses by examining competition and strategy at three levels of analysis (country, industry and firm), but also by considering the increasingly important role of supranational institutions, like the European Union. The context consists of different industries in France and Spain, with visits to companies in Paris and Barcelona, respectively.
