Powers of the Legislature
Laws passed similarly to US government, with
bi-cameral approval. Proportional representation in lower
house by Chamber of Representatives, while Senate is elected
by territory (no proportional representation).
Powers of the Executive Branch
The President is elected by the people (majority
vote) to serve in a capacity similar to that of the US
President. As head of state, the president represents the
country within diplomatic affairs, has veto power, and
control of the military as commander in chief.
