This is the web site for MIS7520 at Babson College. MIS7520 is a prototype second-year MBA elective, designed to be available across the internet to participants wherever and whenever they choose to work.
The catalog title of this course is Database Systems. A more appropriate title might be Designing Organizations with Information Technology, since the course considers the impact of database-driven information systems on organizational process design.
In 7520 we will build information system prototypes that support innovative business processes. Such systems encounter issues discussed earlier in the MBA program, including strategic positioning, organizational design, and change management. The half-joke in the course name reflects the fact that systems can be a powerful catalyst for explaining and implementing strategy. In those courses you talked about it - here you'll do it.
