The Case Method Institute (CMI) offers a comprehensive range of custom and open-enrollment case-teaching and case-writing faculty development workshops.

Learning by the case method adds a dimension to the learning process that instills the confidence and experience students require to learn how to learn, to be creative, and to make appropriate decisions. This dimension is especially important in an entrepreneurial and integrated decision-making environment. For faculty authors, case development instills an intimacy with the curriculum, creates teaching materials that are most closely aligned with teaching objectives, and brings real-world experience into the classroom. CMI workshops are designed to inspire and empower faculty to teach effectively using the case method and to write great cases.

CMI workshops begin at a basic level in teaching faculty how to use the case method to teach most effectively and how to start writing cases. Following these sessions, support is offered through an on-line peer review workshop, a mentor program, or with periodic "case embryo workshops." Finally, CMI offers an advanced case workshop intended to help fine tune cases and prepare them for ultimate publication in peer-reviewed journals, with custom publishers, or in text-books.

CMI also offers custom services to help academic institutions develop support faculty case development and publication activities.
